Nutmeg Design & Landscape, LLC is owned by Bruce F. Lindsay.
Bruce earned his Bachelor of Science from The University of Connecticut’s School of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 1996. He began landscape design and construction in 1993 during summer breaks from college and also took internships at garden centers, nurseries and in floriculture sales. Bruce has an extensive background in the green industry and has a thorough knowledge of trees, shrubs and perennials and their relationship in design environments over time.

Bruce’s high energy level and eye for detail will transform any project into an eye-catching landscape with curb appeal while increasing property values. Bruce’s goal with Nutmeg is to manage a client’s property and turn it into an outdoor showcase. Mainly he enjoys the projects which require the extension of the home for entertaining—the outdoor living room. The transition from the house to the outdoors can be tricky but Bruce’s eye for spatial relationships and incorporation of living plants, masonry and the existing home allow all to come together for the magnificent collaboration of design and the ultimate entertainment area.

Nutmeg Design & Landscape, LLC focuses on all projects, small or large. Bruce will also work with you to phase your projects in to your property over time rather than all at once. Though Nutmeg does not mow lawns or rake leaves, Bruce has numerous colleagues in the green industry and can make recommendations should you require maintenance on any level for your property. Bruce does offer grounds-keeping services for the maintenance of shrubs, trees, garden beds, patios and entryways and has a full understanding of all plant life and their growth. In other words, we put our focus into the main task at hand, you and your home’s landscape project.

The future for Nutmeg will be guided by Bruce's unwavering focus in outdoor design and proper planting. He pays critical attention to growth rates and habits of plant life so that each project grows without conflict. Bruce takes horticulture very seriously and is passionate about how plants live in every environment. Extensive background in planting and nursery work as well as experience in watching his work grow has helped Bruce develop Nutmeg into a smart and green business with emphasis on truly thought-out design.
